How do payments work when a customer has paid for an item?
All payments are made via Paypal direct to your account.  When you have sold an item you will receive a notification e-mail.  You can view the transaction from the view orders section on the sellers page.

The customer has not paid or wants to cancel the order, what do I do?
Terms regarding cancellations should be outlined in your individual terms on your page.  Sometimes it’s not always possible that a customer can pay straight away or may have an issue which prevents them from paying straight away.  In which case allow the buyer reasonable time to make payment and if necessary they should be contacted to find out if a problem has occurred.  If after a few days you have not received payment, it is reasonable to assume that the customer no longer requires the item at which point the order may be cancelled and the product returned to your shop.  If you have mutually agreed to cancel the order, you may cancel the transaction via your shop and the listing and fees if applicable will be credited to you.  If in doubt please contact an admin at info@craftybums.co.uk

What are the different options on the view orders screen?
This screen is split into 3 main sections.

  • Pending Orders – This shows new sales.  Orders may still be cancelled at this stage and the attached items will go back up for sale at no extra cost. This may be if someone changes their mind and doesn't go through with a Paypal transaction. Once a response has been received from Paypal, you may no longer cancel an order.  If the customer then changes their mind and a refund is given the slot will be lost and cannot be reinstated.
  • Orders to process – This shows orders where payment has been received and waiting to be dispatched.
  • Dispatched orders – This shows orders which have been dispatched and need to be completed.  We recommend you leave this section a few days to allow for the posted item to arrive at the destination within the recommended delivery time.  Once an item is completed an email will be sent to the buyer with an invitation to leave feedback.

How does feedback work?
In order to get feedback you need to complete the sale of the item from the view orders page.

Can I sell custom items?
Yes, each shop will have a gallery where you can upload previous examples/ fabric choices etc, then you can list a product and the customer will let you know which fabric they would like/ what names need to be included etc.

Can I be a crafty bum if I am not a UK resident?

Can I sell things that another crafty bum already sells?
